Razor Cuts a Deal with Brett Wallace

Hey Topps, Razor's not bluffing

Hey Topps, Razor's not bluffing

Topps, take note that Razor has now inked one of the top offensive talents from the ’08 draft to an exclusive deal.  Brett Wallace is the most recent exclusive signee by the Razor Entertainment Group to be featured in its upcoming baseball prospect product.

Wallace has been wreaking havoc on the Midwest League at Quad Cities hitting .344 with 5 HR 22 RBI and a .978 OPS in 33 games.  Wallace is the 8th ’08 1st round selection signed by Razor and the 14th overall.

The aggressive entry into the prospect market is sending blows to the mid-section of one of Topps most successful products, Bowman Draft and Chrome.  As a chromie, the uncertainty of Razor’s ability to establish itself as an enduring high-quality MLB prospect product is a cause for concern.

Regardless, Topps, Upper Deck, and Donruss take note, Razor has jumped off of the diving board, has its knees clutched and is prepared to make a big splash come December 1.
